LA Kings stats vs Senators and ticket contest details

In the last meeting between the Kings and Senators (on November 22, 2010), Anze Kopitar opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first period. LA eventually lost that game 3-2. It stands as Kopitar's only goal vs Ottawa in four career games. How have some of his teammates fared?

Dustin Brown - no goals in six games

Justin Williams - five goals in 27 games

Dustin Penner - three goals in six games

Mike Richards - 12 goals in 21 games

Jarret Stoll - no goals in five games

Drew Doughty - one goal in three games

Jack Johnson - no goals in four games

Willie Mitchell - no goals in 10 games

Rob Scuderi - one goal in 17 games

- A few notes from the Sens bench - first, LA is one of only two cities where Jason Spezza has not recorded at least one point (St. Louis is the other) and Ottawa hasn't lost back to back games in regulation since early November. In the games following a regulation loss, they've gone 6-0-1 since then. They lost yesterday in Anaheim. So, we'll see if that holds up.

- Jonathan Quick will be in goal for the Kings and he'll square off with Craig Anderson at the other end of the ice.

- For tonight's first goal contest, Bailey wanted in on the action. He's going with Koitar - 'because he is signing for my Buddies tonight' read the text. For those interested, Bailey's Buddies is now priced at $19.99. More information is available here.

- More first goal predictions: Now, Brown has been the only player to correctly identify which Kings player will score first in a game. Doughty, Johnson, Penner and others have all missed on the question. Tonight, Kevin Westgarth is calling his shot. He says HE will score first vs the Sens.

- If you'd like to participate in the MayorsManor First Goal contest, we'll be giving away a free pair of tickets to next week's home game vs. Columbus. It's easy to play, simply leave a comment below with the LA player you think will score first vs. the Senators...or reply to the facebook / twitter updates that will be posted around 7:00pm. All correct answers will be pooled together and one random winner will be awarded the tickets. Good luck!

  1. Willie Mitchell was the correct answer. Although nobody above went with #33, other entries received (via facebook/twitter) did have him. Thus, one random winner was selected and the tickets were awarded to that person. Thank you for playing.
