Recently, we kicked off a 'Player of the Week' segment in conjunction with a regular appearance on All the Kings Men podcast. During this week's show we talk about the Kings' minor league affiliates in Manchester and Ontario, as well discussed the rookie call-ups and where the Kings should go from here with the roster.
You can listen to this week's episode at this link.
With only two games played between February 13-19 - and the Kings not getting goals in either - filling out the ballot for 'King of the Week' was challenging. However, in the podcast we reviewed why Mike Richards and Willie Mitchell deserve to be nominated. So be sure to give it a listen.
Here's a quick review of this week's candidates:
Jonathan Quick... two games played, only gave up one goal in each - posting a .948 save percentage in the process
Mike Richards - four shots on goal, four hits, seven penalty minutes - including a fight with a guy two feet taller than him
Willie Mitchell - stout defensive play
This poll closes at 8pm PST on Wednesday.
