He's also found himslef under a constant microscope since returning from major hip surgery last November. First, Murray was less than pleased with his efforts in the playoffs (as discussed here).
More recently, after the coach first said he would play Parse in all of the pre-season games, the 27-year old forward was scratched a few games in. At the time, Parse thought his problems were all between his ears. Yet, Murray wasn't so sure.
Then, the twists and turns continued when, just as Parse seemed moments from being placed on waivers, Dustin Penner was injured, pushing him into the opening night line-up vs. the New York Rangers.
Parse played a total of 23 minutes, had two shots on goal and zero points in the first two games.
Yesterday, he offered a little perspective on where things stand...
