Soon you can have your pizza and eat it too...

Would you eat a Kings pizza?

For years sports teams have been slapping their logos on some strange products, usually in an effort to cash in on the the loyalty some crazed fans have for their teams.  However, this story is one of the more bizarre...

According to an article hereThe National Basketball Association is now giving fans a chance to consume something else: team logos.  Starting next season, basketball fans ordering a pizza with their favorite toppings can also get it topped with an edible logo of their beloved team for an extra five bucks. Made of sugar, starch and food coloring, each logo is designed to melt into the cheese after the pizza has been baked and sliced. Some 1,200 pizza parlors across America will be supplied with the logos.

Really?  Is this what it's come to?

I'm holding out for a Kings themed ice cream from Ben & Jerry's.

Take off the skates, put on some shoes...

Want to be a runner at the draft?  Well, you're probably too old.  However, if you have a kid...or know a kid...between the ages of 10 and 14, you might be in luck.

According to a report here - The Upper Deck Company is conducting a special promotion this month for 10 participating Los Angeles-area hobby shops that’s built around the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Prizes will include autographed hockey pucks from standouts on the Los Angeles Kings as well as a grand prize package where one lucky winner between the ages of 10 and 14 will be selected to serve as an official “2010 NHL Entry Draft Runner” and will assist one of the NHL teams during the actual draft proceedings. The winner will take part in NHL Entry Draft festivities from Thursday, June 24, through Saturday, June 26, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

To enter the contests you'll need to visit one of 10 participating hobby shops in SoCal.  The list can be found by clicking here.

If you'd rather just score a regular ticket and go to the draft for free, visit http://www.lakings.com/ for info about the ticket "on sale" that will begin tomorrow morning.
